BANCE Engineering & Manufacturing
Delivering custom-engineered steel, aluminium, and composite fabrication tailored to exact client specifications.
From custom trackside mountings and vehicle modifications to specialised maintenance jigs, our engineering team designs and manufactures high-durability solutions compliant with global rail standards. With over a century of railway engineering expertise, BANCE delivers fabricated components and assemblies that perform reliably in the most demanding trackside environments.
Fabrication Services
Our fabrication capabilities span the full spectrum of railway maintenance requirements, from one-off bespoke components to short-run production batches, all manufactured to the highest engineering standards.
Design and fabrication of specialised track maintenance tools, measuring rig frames, and setup jigs engineered to exact client requirements and railway safety standards.
Custom mounting brackets, tool racks, specialised trailers, and heavy-duty transport fixtures designed and fabricated for on-track vehicle fleets.
Certified welding and precision CNC machining built to withstand demanding railway environments, using high-grade materials certified for outdoor rail use.
From initial CAD modelling and functional prototypes through to full short-run production — supporting concept validation and operational trials before full deployment.
How We Work
We begin by analysing your track requirements, safety regulations, and operational constraints. Our engineers work directly with your team to define the scope and establish the performance criteria for the fabrication.
In-house design and strain analysis ensures compliance with rail safety standards. We produce full engineering drawings for client review and approval before any manufacturing begins.
Expert metalworking using high-grade steel, aluminium, and composite materials certified for outdoor rail environments. All welding and machining is carried out by experienced engineers at our Derby facility.
Rigorous dimensional and functional testing, quality checks, and optional calibration are completed before delivery. Full documentation and certification is provided as standard.
Materials & Standards
All fabricated components use materials selected for long-term performance in outdoor, high-vibration railway environments. We work with a wide range of metals and composites, sourced from certified suppliers and processed using industry-standard techniques.
Where required, surface treatments, protective coatings, and corrosion-resistant finishes are applied to extend service life and comply with relevant infrastructure standards. Full material certification and traceability documentation is available on request.
